Zip, button-up, or tie. No matter how you finish putting on our pieces, you can take comfort in knowing that the finishings are thoughtfully-sourced and responsibly-made. Our buttons and cords are made from 100% natural materials and sourced from eco-conscious suppliers. Items not derived from nature, including our elastic and zippers, are made from 100% recycled materials.
Mother of Pearl:
Made in Italy from responsibly-sourced trocas shells around the islands of Indonesia, these buttons are made from the organic inner shell layer. They feature a beautiful iridescence, a subtle and luxurious trim. Our supplier does not waste any shell material, as excess is ground and used in cosmetics or jewelry.
The corozo nut seed from the Tagua palm tree is harvested from the ground where it falls, and there is no machinery or tree cutting in the process, which helps combat deforestation. All dyes are OEKO-TEX certified. View more about the process and benefits in the video, below.
100% Cotton, this cord is best cared for by washing in cold water and air-drying. It's softness compliments the fabric of the Sweater Dress, and as a natural product, this is biodegradable.*
These zippers are made from post-consumer waste, such as plastic bottles (1 bottle = 3 zippers!) and means they can be used circularly since there are no metal components.
We sourced woven stretch elastic band that is made out of recycled polyester. This product is used in our Jumpsuit and Pant styles to add a more flexible fit to the waistline.
*What do you mean by biodegradable?
Materials can break down over time and return to the earth when in external conditions, such as soil, and in the presence of microorganisms, fungi, or bacteria.
